On Friday September 30, 2016  another proposal to redevelop portions of the Studio City Golf and Tennis facility adding 200 residential units was submitted to City Planning.

Alfredo Hernandez, Poltical Outreach Manager of the Afriat Consulting Group was spotted walking the neighborhood near the golf course handing out a flyer titled “Studio City Golf & Tennis Preservation Plan” with a link to an on-line survey. There was no mention of the new development plan in the flyer. Afrait Consulting represented Richard Weintraub and his Sportsmen’s Landing Project.

Please check the Studio City Neighborhood Council calendar for specific time and location details if you would like to attend. Neighborhood Council notices are typically posted a minimum of 72 hours prior to a meeting.

  • Just what Studio City needs more apartments and condominiums also known as unaffordable housing . The green space in Studio City is more valuable than any structure. If you were building affordable Senior Housing I might have a different concern but more unaffordable condominiums serve zero purpose for our area. More destruction of our green space.

  • No! Overdevelopment, including traffic, overburdened schools, etc. will ruin Studio City.

  • We have lost too much already. Aren’t there any “big names” in our area that care and can come out and help us?

  • Just say no. No changes to the facility or zoning
